a winter engagement session in the snowy black forest. can it get more dreamy & romantic? no it can’t.
I was hoping for snow, when Rafael first wrote to me that his finance Anh Mai, who is living in Vietnam, is going to visit him over Christmas & they wanna have their engagement pics taken in the mountains.
so I did my homework & scouted a place in the black forest, where I was pretty sure, there’s gonna be for sure some snow.
black forest didn’t disappoint. man we had a lot of snow in Kaltenbronn. I couldn’t believe it.
poor Anh Mai, who just arrived from hot Vietnam, couldn’t believe it either & was definitely not prepared for the cold black forest. but these 2 warriors proved how brave they are & hiked with me through half a meter snow just to get to our spot.
although wet & worn from the hike through the black forest, Anh Mai & Rafael only had eyes for each other after not seing each other in months because of their long distance relationship between Germany & Vietnam. I really get impressed by couples who manage to keep up their love even through such a long distance between them. so impressive. so it was a special honor for me to take their engagement pics & be able to witness their strong love for each other.
Anh Mai & Rafael I wish you a wonderful wedding in Vietnam. I’m sure it won’t be that cold like on that one day in December. enjoy your big day to the fullest.
I hope I could prove to you that winter weddings or shootings can be fun. so don’t be afraid of snow or bad weather on your wedding day. don’t be afraid of a winter wedding, because the light still can be so magical, even more magical than during summertime. trust me. scout’s honor.
